Born and raised in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Dale moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 1976 to attend the University of Alberta. Completing his Bachelor of Commerce in 1980, Dale traveled to Australia and New Zealand for a year before returning to Calgary, Alberta to begin his training for his chartered accountants (CA) designation at Price Waterhouse, an international accounting firm.

Dale completed his CA designation in 1983, working at Price Waterhouse until 1986, at which time he moved into the Calgary oil and gas industry. In 1987, he moved to Florida to begin his career in real estate with the Keenan Development Group and currently handles all the financial and tax reporting, property management and financing.

Dale is married and has two children and currently resides in Parkland, Florida. His athletic interests include hockey, skiing, hiking and all other scenic, fresh air pursuits.
